En 2017 pendant la Fiac, Johan Creten investit avec ses sculptures le jardin intérieur du Petit Palais. Avec ses divinités, l’artiste poursuit sa réflexion sur la relation entre la sculpture et le socle, entre le spectateur et son environnement. Johan Creten est considéré comme un des précurseurs du renouveau de la céramique dans l’art contemporain.
